Start up in 70's

The real world has changed a lot. People have changed a lot. Our life styles now are completely different from the one's in 90's. So does our VIRTUAL WORLD.
It is said that:

"There is no stopping to the technology"

The humans have taken technology to such an extent that virtual world looks real to us. Now a days when we see the games today and the games even which were played 2 years ago and when we compare both these games ,we will be shocked completely that how the same series of games have changed. And when we see the games of 90's we will feel pathetic about these games which were a source of great entertainment at that time.

Zork is one of the earliest interactive fiction computer games, with roots drawn from the original genre game, Colossal Cave Adventure.

In the beginning was the word, and the word was good enough: realizing the intense difficulties of simulating something that looks like reality on a machine that, in the 1970s and the 1980s, still had about as much computational capacity as an electrified abacus, game designers frequently toyed with exchanging images for words, giving birth to a new genre, the text adventure. From 1975’s Adventurethe game’s original title was ADVENT, as file names in those days could only contain six characterson wards, these games taught the earliest generation of designers and players alike to rely on their imagination, a supremely challenging undertaking if you’re trying to navigate your way through a maze or cross a magical bridge.
At that time the technology was very limited, even computers at that time were no common. The size of computers was equal to the size of rooms but still people who could have afford computer bought them and played this game. People find this game very interesting and rated it 4.0/5 . It had no animation it just contain simple black and white colors.
After that in 1972 a game named PONG was launched. Pong was a two-dimensional sports game that simulates table tennis.

The player controls an in-game paddle by moving it vertically across the left side of the screen, and can compete against either a computer-controlled opponent or another player controlling a second paddle on the opposing side. Players use the paddles to hit a ball back and forth. The aim is for each player to reach eleven points before the opponent; points are earned when one fails to return the ball to the other.
It was one of the early sports games, although this game still used simple characters and good programming but yet this game was highly rated and even now some people play this game. The concept of this game was very critical, even now the mobile games of this kind of prototype has been developed.

Glow hockey is one of the game based on this prototype.

After 70's the field of gaming got a start . Different companies were opened which started to develop games using the technologies and resources according to their era.

Stay tuned to the blog as i will be introducing the games of 80's and about the new and improved technologies which they used .
